There is so much rolling around in my head right now that it is hard to sit down and type it all out. I haven’t written in a while and it seems that my writing comes in cycles. I want to first apologize for not always being obedient to write when I should as I know that this is something God has given to me in order to help others. I am not sure if it’s my busy schedule, laziness or an actual attack of the enemy to keep me from writing but either way, I endeavor to do better.
There has been so much that God has been downloading into me lately, I am not sure where to even begin but I am praying that the Holy Spirit will just take over my hands and heart and write what He would want me to communicate. So many times we tend to be moved by our environment, whether it is at church, work or any other social engagement that we are a part of. We are also moved by the traditions of man, a lot of those are not even what God had in mind for you. Scripture tells us in Galatians chapter 3:28-29 that in Christ, “There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendants, heirs according to promise.” So, if that is the case, why do we allow ourselves to remain in bondage to men and to the traditions of men?
We are free and John 8:36 says that the Son has set us free. “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.” If we are free indeed, then we need to walk in that freedom. We are all part of the same body in Christ and we need to be walking according to His word. I don’t understand how we allow ourselves (I’ve done it too) to be caught up in what one person thinks or says. We allow one negative comment or someone that says that they are speaking on the Lords behalf to rock our world and totally undo all that God has been working so hard to do in your life. My friend, these things should not be so. I am asking, no begging you to get on your face before the Lord and ask Him what He thinks of you and what He has planned for you. God wants to know you and to be known by you. He wants to use all that He has placed in you to bless others. It is time for us to rise up and stop being sheep who follow men, but sheep who follow the one and only true Shepherd. I am not saying that we are not to submit ourselves to one another, because the Word clearly says that we are supposed to. I am saying though that we should not turn to man which also means our friends before turning to God. Scripture tells us to Trust in the Lord with all our heart and to lean not unto our own understanding but in all our ways to acknowledge Him and He will direct our paths. The call to action today for all of us is this, it’s time to pick up our cross and walk with the Lord. It is time for us to ask Him, not a person, how He wants to use us to reach His lost sheep. It is time for us to get our instructions from above and work together with other believers here on earth to bring forth His message to a world which is lost. Will you seek Him and will you line yourself up with others that are seeking His face as well so that we can stop following traditions and start following the only one that matters? Will you join me?
