It’s funny how many of us have said this over the years. Especially in moments of frustration, anger, sadness or sometimes even when we are experiencing joy. However, I truly wonder if we have ever really stopped and thought about what that would mean. Think about how many people have said that and what would have happened if He would have actually come back at that moment. Now, take it a step further, what if that moment had been right before you got saved!

When we think about it in the context it puts it into perspective, does it? You see, even though we want to see Jesus face to face, or at least you should, this is not the prayer or statement you should be making. I think about all of the people out there that are lost and hurting and just want to be loved. When I think about how much they are hurting my prayer becomes, Jesus, please hold off on coming back until we can get more people into your kingdom. The atmosphere in our world right now is volatile and everyone is offended over so many things and driven by their emotions. If they would just take a step back, they would see that this is all an attack from the enemy and not only does the devil hate them, but really He is wanting to hurt God. The devil knows that the more people that he can win to his side, even by default, the more he can hurt our Heavenly Father.

I don’t know about you, but I am thankful that Jesus didn’t come back before I had a chance to be saved and to live my life for Him. I am thankful that there were those that were faithful to pray for me throughout my life and continue to do so. I am thankful that we have one more day on this Earth to return the investment that Jesus made into us by praying for and loving on others. I know that this post is shorter than my normal posts but, I just want you to sit back and meditate on this. Given how upside down our world is right now, let’s take a moment and pray for this country, pray for our brothers and sisters in the faith, pray for our future brothers and sisters who are currently lost and pray that God gives us the strength and wisdom to fight the good fight of faith. Today, let’s take a stand for God and do our part.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (KJV)

Jesus, come quickly, just not too quickly. Give us time to do our part, to win more people for you!
