I’ve been meditating on a lot of things the last few days and seeking God on behalf of others and for situations. The two Scriptures I posted below have been the ones that God keeps impressing upon me.
Regardless of what we might be going through and what issues we are facing, it is important for us to all understand that we are not wrestling against flesh and blood. Any and all struggles that we face have a root in the spirit realm. Whether you believe this or not, it is important that we don’t go into the battle unarmed. With that said, we are also not supposed to be at warfare against each other. If you have an issue you need to take it to the Lord so that He can either direct you in how to pray or so that He can correct you, yes, I said correct you. We are not always right you know, and the Godliest act you can do
is get on your face before the Lord and wage proper warfare against the one that is set out to destroy our souls. If we are coming against each other it serves no purpose other than to show the enemy that he is winning the battle raging in your life. There may be times when you come to an Impass but what is important is how you handle it.
As a Christian I haven’t always done everything right and as a matter of fact there are plenty of times that I have done a face plant in front of God and everybody but I know one thing, I can go to God and He is faithful and just to forgive me and cleanse me of all my sin. I strive each day to be a better version of who God created me to be and some days I do well, others I don’t. On the days I don’t, I dust myself off and start over.
The first scripture below says that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. For those that don’t know, carnal means wordly, fleshly, emotionally driven and temporal. I think it’s important that this word was used because most of the time this is the way we do battle, in the flesh. Only through God is our warfare mighty and useful for pulling down strongholds. It’s time to stop and pray and grow up in the way that we wage battle realizing once and for all that this war is not about us but we have been given the privilege by God to wage battle in the spirit. It’s time to get on our faces and pray and quit pointing fingers otherwise we will never be able to accomplish all that God has planned for us. Take a moment today and go to God and ask Him to redirect your steps. Ask Him today which way He would have you go!
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 KJV
Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Ephesians 6:10-20 KJV
